    • So what does "TRUTH" stand for?
    • Are there more than one truths?
    • Truth and point of view... What does that mean?
    • What is your Truth?
    • How do you know it is your truth?

The definitions of Truth are many. "That which is true or in accordance with fact or reality." or "a fact or belief that is accepted as true." in Idioms, "in truth, in reality; in fact; actually"

The definition of Perception. “The state of being or process of becoming aware of something through the senses.” or “A way of regarding, understanding, or interpreting something; a mental impression.”

Any conflict that arises between people, groups, societies or even countries arises from different values and rules. These are based on beliefs that are accepted as truth and thus become the base for the “Model of the World” that is the base for how one sees the outside world. It becomes the scale for judgement. Often, or I dare to say, in most cases, judgement is made upon only a very few perceptions, which are then amended or “filled in” by the mind and the result is a “Truth” for the observer that is most often different from the “Facts” as the show in a bigger picture will all details. Check out the following video which is funny as well.

This leads us to ask about the real cause of our judgements and what is the value of these judgements to our own lives. I observe on a daily basis how little instances of behavior are perceived as a certain ‘truth”, as an insult and cause of other emotional reactions, which set off a series of actions and reactions that in turn can ruin a day or even relationships.

This is why it is so important that we are very careful upon what our perception is and how we take it in, the filters we use and that we question everything that enters our mind, especially when it becomes the base of our decisions. Habits and patterns also play a big role that are on autopilot and with that are outside of our conscious realization. We tend to develop these habits with the people we are closest and with that it is really important that we are really conscious “in the here and now” as my beautiful wife likes to say.

I am learning every day……. more about myself.

    Thank you for reading,
